Continúo con mis canciones preferidas, y hoy hablaré de la canción Over Drive de Judy and Mary. Judy and Mary era un grupo originario de la isla de Hokkaido y su estilo de música era punk, rock y pop. En España la canción Sobakasu (そばかす) se hizo bastante popular ya que fue el primer opening de Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心). El grupo se disolvió en el 2001 aunque algunos de sus integrantes continúan en el mundo de la música (la cantante Yuki canta en solitario y Takuya, el guitarrista, formó su propio grupo).
He elegido Over Drive aunque podría haber elegido muchas otras canciones de Judy and Mary. Su estilo es fresco y pegadizo. Over Drive forma parte del álbum Miracle Diving.
I will continue with my favourite songs, and today I’m gonna write about Over drive by Judy and Mary. Judy and Mary was a band from Hokkaido and their music style was punk, rock and pop. In Spain their song Sobakasu (そばかす) was popular because it was the opening theme of Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心) anime. The band broke up in 2001 but some members continues in music business (Yuki, the singer, continues with solo career and Takuya, guitar, has his own band).
I have chosen Over Drive but I could choose many songs of Judy and Mary. Their style was very fresh. Over Drive was part of their album Miracle Diving.
