Nihon mon amour – 日本・モナムール

Ayer hubo un acto cultural en el pueblo. Yo no asistí, la verdad, porque no me apetecía mucho salir, pero mi padre si que fue. Manuel Lorenzo, dramaturgo gallego, nacido en Ferreira, tuvo el honor de que se le pusiera una placa conmemorativa en la casa donde nació y él mismo plantó un árbol en el parque. Hasta aquí bien. Pero esta mañana me he llevado la sorpresa al leer el periódico (La Voz de Galicia) y ver que en la foto donde aparece Manuel Lorenzo haciendo de jardinero, aparece también mi padre. Jeje. El reportaje no iba ni mucho menos con mi padre, pero me ha hecho ilusión verle allí.

Yesterday, we had a cultural event in our village. I didn’t go, to tell the truth, but my father went. Manuel Lorenzo, dramaturg from Galicia, born in Ferreira, had the honour that the village has put a commemorative plaque in the house where he was born and he planted a tree in the park later. Ok for now. But this morning I had a big surprise while I was reading the newspaper (La Voz de Galicia) and to see that in the picture where appears Manuel Lorenzo as gardener, my father appears too. Hehehe. The newspaper report wasn’t about my father, but I felt great to see him there.
