Make em Laugh – Singin’in the Rain 1952

Ayer fuimos hasta Lugo para acompañar a una pareja, amigos de mis padres. Allí aprovechamos para ir a un centro comercial. Compré diversas películas en dvd en oferta (me gusta mucho el cine) : Kill Bill volume 1 y volume 2 (como me gustaron estas películas!!), El mar que nos mira (海は見ていた) y un clásico que me gusta especialmente, Cantando bajo la lluvia (Singin’ in the rain). Obra del genial Staley Donen y Gene Kelly, es simplemente fantástica. La vi hace ya años y la tenía grabada en una vieja cinta en VHS. Cuando vi el dvd en el estante de la tienda, pensé que era momento de renovarla, jajaja.
Musical que habla de un momento real en la historia del cine: cuando se creó el cine sonoro y revolucionó la industria cinematográfica. Muchos actores del cine mudo, muy famosos en ese momento, vieron como sus carreras quedaban truncadas, ya que no poseían buenas voces o su interpretación hablada no era nada buena.
Llena de números músicales inigualables, con los geniales Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor (ya desaparecidos los dos) y Debbie Reynolds. Uno de los que más me gustan es el Make ‘em laugh (Hazles reir), interpretado por Donald O’Connor, cuyo video adjunto en la entrada.
Si tenéis posibilidad de ver esta película, hacedlo. No penséis que por ser una peli del año 1952 o por ser un musical, es un rollo.

Yesterday, my parents and I went to Lugo city, with a couple, friends of my parents. There we had the opportunity to go to a mall. I bought some dvd movies with a very good price (I love cinema): Kill Bill volume 1 and volume 2 (I really liked these movies!!), Umi wa miteita (海は見ていた) and a classic that I like especially, Singin’ in the rain. Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly movie, is just brilliant. I saw this movie some years before and I had it recorded in a old video, so when I saw the dvd movie on the shelf in the shop, I though that it was the moment to renew, hahaha.
Musical movie what talks about a real moment in the cinema history: when the talking films appeared and the revolution in the cinema industry. Many actors of the silent cinema, very famous in those days, had many troubles because their voices weren’t beautiful or their talked acting were no good.
With wonderful musical moments, with the great Genne Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds. One of my favourites is Make ‘em laugh, by Donald O’Connor. I have attached this video in this post.
If you have the chance to see this movie, do it. Don’t think that because it’s an old movie or a musical, could be boring.
