Comiendo anguila (unagi) en Hamamatsu – Eating eel (unagi) in Hamamatsu

Ayer pude hablar durante largo rato con Hideo. Hace un mes tuvo que llevar su ordenador a reparar y finalmente este fin de semana pasado pudo recogerlo, así que volvernos a ver (aunque sea a través de webcam) después de casi un mes fue simplemente fantástico.
Me estuvo explicando que justo ayer tuvo que ir a visitar a un cliente importante a la ciudad de Hamamatsu, en la prefectura de Shizuoka. Para él fue una lata tener que vestir traje y corbata, pero la visita a la ciudad fue gratificante ya que pudo degustar un plato que nos gusta mucho a ambos: la anguila (鰻). Para hacerme los dientes largos me envió fotos. Cuando estuvimos en Kyushu Hideo ya me llevó a un restaurante donde la especialidad de la casa es la anguila y me gustó mucho, muchísimo !! (para leer dicha entrada, haced click aquí), y me contó que la anguila que comió en Hamamatsu estaba también muy rica.

Aquí están las anguilas, vivas, y tu escoges la que quieras comerte. Yo dejaría que otros escogiesen por mi, ya que no como nada que haya visto vivo antes.

Yesterday I could talk with Hideo for a long time. He needed to repare his notebook and finally, after one month, he could use it and we could see each other again (through webcam, of course).
He was explaining me that yesterday he had to go to Hamamatsu city, in Shizuoka prefecture, to meet with an important customer. Hideo needed to wear suit and necktie, something that he doesn’t like, but he could enjoy of a good lunch in the city, eating eel (鰻.) I remember when we stayed in Kyushu, we went to an eel restaurant, pretty famous, and I liked it much, so much !!. Hideo tols me that the yesterday eel was delicious too.
If you will go to Japan soon (or someday) it’s a kind of meal that I really recommend !!
