Mi padre tenía que acompañar en coche a uno de mis tíos hasta A Coruña y nos dijo que podiamos ir con él y de paso hacer una visita rápida. Así que allí fuimos.

Al llegar, fuimos por la zona del puerto, el Cantón, y Hideo no paraba de hacer fotos a los edificios (como muestra la foto).

Nos dirigimos a la Torre de Hércules, único faro de origen romano aún en funcionamiento. Tuvimos la suerte de que nuestra llegada al faro fuera amenizada por un gaitero, lo que hacía que la visita fuera mais galega. La palabra más pronunciada de Hideo era sugoi  (genial). Ni que decir que el gaitero se ganó unas moneditas . Mi padre nos hizo la foto de rigor a Hideo y a mi y luego, los dos, dimos la vuelta a la torre, disfrutando de la vista que ofrecía el Atlántico ese día, que era magnífica.

Nos fuimos hacia el centro y Hideo nos había comentado que le apetecía comer mucho tako (pulpo) y que lugar mejor que Galicia para ello!! Así que pudo probar el pulpo a feira, que le gustó mucho, mucho, mucho.

Desde la Calle Real fuimos a la Plaza de Maria Pita, donde se encuentra el Ayuntamiento de A Coruña y la estatua de la famosa heroína. Le expliqué a Hideo la historia de Maria Pita, de lo guerreras que somos las mujeres en España (quien avisa no es traidor ).

Después de comer (una sopa de pescado que estaba muy buena) volvimos a Ferreira.

May 5th. Finally the long weekend many family member came back to the original cities, to work. So we had peaceful days at last.

My father had to go to A Coruña with my uncle, so he said us if we wanted to visit the city. It was our oportunity and we went there.

Arriving, in the seaport area, the Cantón, Hideo couldn’t stop taking pictures of the buildings, even being inside the car (see picture 1).

We went to the Tower of Hércules, the only one lighthouse with Roman origin that it’s running yet. We were very lucky because there we found a “gaitero” (bagpipe player), so our visit had much Galicia spirit. Hideo couldn’t stop saying “sugoi desu” all time. My father took some pictures of us with the Tower  (see picture 2) and Hideo and I walked around it, watching the wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean (see picture 3).

We went to the center and Hideo told us that he wanted to eat octopus (tako) and Galicia is a perfect place to eat it. He could taste the “pulpo a feira” (Galicia style octopus) and he liked it much, much, much (see picture 4).

From Calle Real (Real Street) we went to Maria Pita Square, where we could see the A Coruña City Hall and the famous statue (picture 5) of the heroine Maria Pita. I explained to Hideo the story of Maria Pita and how much warrior spanish women are (it’s just a notice, hehehe).

After lunch (a delicous fish soup) we came back to Ferreira.
